The Florence Pie Bar is a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon treat. A rotating selection of house baked pies are offered whole and by the slice. Also on the menu are soups, quiche, scones, cookies and savory galettes (rustic open-faced tarts). Enjoy our garden seating in the warm months and our cozy cafe year round for food, coffee and tea. We have a seasonal beer and wine license and we offer some local beers from Berkshire Brewing Company and Building 8 Brewery.

The Florence Pie Bar is located on Route 9 in Florence, MA, on the corner of Chestnut and Main St. We are located in the town center across the street from Coopers Corner grocery and deli, Brew Practitioners Brewery, and just down the road from Look Park. At the turn of the Century, 17 Main Street was the location of the The Frayer General Store. The General Store sold gasoline, groceries, ice cream and coffee. By the mid 20th century, the space became a barbershop, and remained so until 2014 when construction began on the pie shop. While cleaning out the basement, we found old signs from the general store, including ones that advertised “coffee,” “popcorn,” and “hot dogs.” We also found one of the original signs for the barbershop in the building’s façade.

Inspired by the history of the building, The Florence Pie Bar is a cozy place for pie, coffee, and conversation. Our menu rotates with seasonally inspired fruit pies, cream pies, and nut pies as well as quiche, meat pies, hand pies, and vegetable pies. We make each crust by hand in shop with butter and unbleached, all-purpose flour. We offer a daily selection of house made baked goods including scones, muffins, morning breads and granola. A large number of our ingredients are sourced locally, according to what is in season. A limited number of whole pies are available for purchase daily, you may also call the shop during business hours to place a whole pie order.
